A TV Spot against Gay Marriage: Their Freedoms are at Risk. Huh?

I always think its important to know what the other side puts out as talking points; it makes you a better debater. But I’m at a loss over this TV spot by an anti-Gay marriage crowd.  Please, can someone explain to mew how giving everyone the right to marry the person they love is going to infringe on the personal freedoms of straight ouples who already have the right to marry?

Wouldn’t a spot about how divorce infringes on the personal freedoms of married couples by more appropriate?

I shudders at the use of the term “a rainbow coalition” of people against same-sex marriage.  These arguments were made in the 1940s before Perez v. Sharp and in the 60’s before Loving v. Virginia.

  1. Ugh. This is beyond disgusting. Nothing but emotional appeals that fool the weak minded into believing illogical banter. I have never been so close to vomiting from simply watching a commercial.
