I think Moorlach did the right thing, saving the pre-born is what we all should be doing. Afterall, we all started out as embryos. 🙂 I will be writing a letter and thanking the board for what they did. IT was the right thing to do.
The GOP-dominated OCBOS merely gave in to their political predilections and placed politics over the public interest.
Here is a letter to the editor I am sending to the OC Register on this topic:
I have often heard that Orange County was a hotbed of right wing extremism. Are the many recent pro-Planned Parenthood letters to the editor and feedback posts to various OC Register articles concerning Planned Parenthood evidence of this?
Consider the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger. Sanger advocated “race hygiene”, a plan to reduce the populations of Italians, Slavs, Jews and Blacks through sterilization. In her book, “Pivot of Civilization”, she called for the elimination of “human weeds”, for the segregation of “morons, misfits, and maladjusted,” and for the sterilization of “genetically inferior races.” She was even a guest speaker at a Ku Klux Klan rally in New Jersey in 1926. It seems to me that a racist eugenicist who was allied with the KKK would be defined by some as the epitome of a right wing extremist.
Now consider the Planned Parenthood of today. You will not hear openly racist statements from today’s Planned Parenthood’s leadership. However, Planned Parenthood continues to honor the legacy of Margaret Sanger with its annual “Margaret Sanger Awards.” It has been reported that Planned Parenthood often locates its clinics in neighborhoods where the “inferior” races live. Is it just a coincidence that the majority of the abortions performed by Planned Parenthood are on people of color?
Some say that Planned Parenthood should be supported because they do many other good things at their clinics besides abortion. This is a tacit admission that abortion in not a good thing. It is obvious to me that the evil of abortion overshadows any other “good” thing that is coming out of Planned Parenthood. It should be political suicide for any politician to support Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars.

Another dark secret of PP is their collusion with child abuse. According to several independent investigations, PP performs abortions on under age girls who were made pregnant by their much older “boy friends.” PP does not report these cases to the police. PP allows the molester to continue his abuse while getting rid of the evidence (killing the unborn child). An organization that covers up for child predators does not merit government funds but merits prosecution instead.
Those who side with the board have been blinded. Here we are again, focusing on a small issue when the bigger issue is at stake… EDUCATION! When will people who have no idea to what problems are in the classroom and out of the classroom shut up and pay attention. First Bush cuts education, then the Governator, now the local Board of Supers!? Come on people, when will you stand up and say enough is enough!
PP provides education in the hopes to reduce abortions! No one ever complains when hospitals provide abortions! Would you deny admittance to a hospital if they performed abortions!? Get over yourself! The county provides funds there too, and what!? Idiots!
Those who are against the funding have NO idea as to the epidemic that is really going on here in Orange County. 56,000 teens testing positive for a STI! 3000 teens pregnant each year in OC!? PP provides the same ed that many other services provides, of which has been documented here in Orange County I am sure, but only they have the true man power to actually cover the county. Remove this funding and I guarantee us teens will only be in a worst situation! Obviously parents are not talking to their children… PP says that importance in and out the classroom and I know because I’ve received one of their classes as a student.
If you really knew what was happening in schools, you’d be pissed off and agree that education needs to be continued and increased. Only a fool would decrease education and hope for things to get better. Stupid is as stupid does. Adults make me laugh.
And for that person who wrote about Sanger…that’s an old argument and if you still believe that PP is a racist organization with only clinics in “inferior” neighborhoods, I guess whites are inferior as well because of clinics in Orange, Costa Mesa/Newport, and Mission Viejo, huh!? All of your references are based before 1950, which was more than 50 years ago, incase you are too old to remember that. We are living in today, and we need HELP TODAY!! If you received any education, you should know to make your references relevant to start a case. You are more worried about politics than the well being of a young woman or any woman. You must be a male.
Who cares what people want to do to their body, as long as they have a safe place to go to for help. Which would you rater see, a person able to have a doctor perform an abortion or a teen perform her own abortion!? (And if you don’t think it happens, all I can say as a teen is, trust!)
Stop wasting time protesting and start educating people on how to prevent pregnancies before they have to run for an abortion and maybe, just maybe we can omit abortions all together!
