If Todd Gallinger is an Islamic Extremist, then so am I. My 8-page Team Irvine mailer came in and featured this page:
This goes beyond a smear; this is Libel. Todd is a public figure so the folks who wrote this and funded it must know that this was deliberately false and they published it anyway. Charges that Todd is an Islamic Extremist are wholly without merit.Â
Â
Members of Irvine’s Muslim community are furious about this; they know Todd from the Mosques. And while the page cites a US Senate subcommittee saying CAIR is a terorrist organization and cites quotes from Beth Krom and Sukhee Kang about CAIR, it neglected to include the positive quote about CAIR from President George W. Bush.
Fellow Irvine voters — this piece represents a new low in divisive politics and records distortment. Legitimate criticism of TeamIrvine’s record are always branded as smears, but this piece isn’t even a smear. It’s libel and someone should get sued for this.
Its too easy to become labeled an Extremist these days without actually doing anything extreme.
I think the Extremists are going to be extremely upset.
On the other hand, Palin can’t find it within herself to label people who bomb family planning clinics as terrorist.
this is sickening.. i hope irvine voters are not dumb enough to believe this nonsense.
This exposure of Mr. Gallinger is as it should be.
CAIR is an extremist group and Gallinger “proudly” worked for and endorses CAIR.
You can’t scrub that tarnish away easily.
An FBI Investigation has concluded that CAIR is a Front Group created for Hamas
President Bush’s words from 2001 (before any investigation revealed all the actual facts about CAIR’s origins) are simply irrelevant.
CAIR is a mainstream American Muslim advocacy group supported by the majority of American Muslims.. There\’s nothing extremist about a group that promotes equality and justice to all.
