Remember what I told you back in August? Remember what I said about Bill Hedrick? OK, so you don’t? Well then, let’s review the facts.
Democrats have made HUGE strides here to close the Republican registration advantage to only about 11%, which was about the same gap in the 11th District up north where Jerry McNerney won in 2006. Ken Calvert has done nothing but abuse his office to enrich himself and his big developer buddies. Meanwhile, Bill Hedrick has a long record of accomplishment that’s helped real kids as a member of the Corona Norco School Board. This may explain why a number of Republicans have come out to endorse Hedrick.
Believe it or not, there really is a competitive race in the 44th District. Ken Calvert and the OC & Riverside Republican Parties may not remember the last time this race was competitive, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is. The more people ask themselves what Calvert has done for them, the more they wonder why he’s still in Congress. And the more they see of Bill Hedrick, the more they like.
But you know what? Campaigning isn’t cheap. That’s where we need to step in.
Now is the time to help Bill Hedrick win. I mean it. We have such a special opportunity this year with Democrats running so strongly nationwide. Now is the time to take this opportunity, so let’s take it!
Right on! I got an email from Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez the other day where she said that in every election there’s always a sleeper race, and this year it’s going to be Bill Hedrick. It’s going to take hard work and money, but Bill can totally win this thing if we do our part! Two weeks to go! Let’s make it happen!
As much as I like Debbie Cook, I frankly do not think her chances of winning are as good as Bill’s because his district is considerably bluer. I’m looking forward to waving goodbye to Calvert!
