Wow! I just heard some great news from the Ron Shepston campaign. Apparently, Ron just got a BIG union endorsement. Check it out! 🙂CD -42 Communications Workers Endorse Shepston
*The Southern California Council – Communication Workers of America, AFL-CIO name Ron Shepston as their choice.*
Silverado- In a letter from Chairman Phil Hanneman, Southern Californias communications workers have voted to endorse Ron Shepston (D) of Silverado as their candidate in the 42nd Congressional District. ÂÂÂ
“As a former Union member myself, I know first hand the important role unions play in fighting for the rights of American Workers. I am honored by their decision and proudly accept the CWA’s endorsement,” Shepston said. “I will continue to fight for workers rights, and for the rights of all the people of the 42nd, on our way to taking down Gary Miller in the fall.”
Judy Perez, Executive Vice President of the CWA local 9400, said Mr.
Shepston is the candidate who best embodies union values, and we are proud
to endorse him.
The present day SCC is comprised of 17 CWA locals in Southern California and
is part of the 9th District, which represents over 70,000 workers.

Ron Shepston is an avionics engineer and veteran. A twenty-seven year resident of Orange County, he currently resides in Silverado Canyon with his wife Belinda, a teachers aide. Ron enlisted in the Air Force in 1966 and worked on Minuteman I & II ICBM missile systems at Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT. After an Honorable discharge in 1970, Ron worked in construction while he put himself through school with the help of the G.I. Bill, receiving a Bachelor Of Science In Electrical Engineering with a focus in Physics. He consults for Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Lake Forest.ÂÂÂ
Now that Ron got one of his first labor endorsements, he should know that he shouldn’t be floating non union certified and printed literature. Did anyone else at the OCYD meeting last night notice that? Come on Ron!
Is it possible he actually printed them “in house” and just forgot to note that? Just a suggestion.
What about his signs? Or does he just care about union endorsements not supporting the actually workers?
I am glad Chau uses union labor.
Freakin cowards out there. No wonder Republicans call Democrats weak. I’m ashamed and embarrassed for you.
What is with all the cowards out there not identifying themselves while launching an attack on us? What are you afraid of? Attack me in the open.
In the meantime get your facts straight before you start cackling like a hen ready to lay an egg.
We will not even address any of these anonymous posts directly. Come out and talk to me face to face and we’ll talk about it. But be careful while you build your straw men. Google Montebello Unified and see what you come up with.
You hurt yourself Ron. Politics 101 is not making statements like you wrote down above, you should have someone else do it. If it is not used against you in the primary it will be in the general. Calling people cowards who ask you questions will not impress voters. Why would you listen to them in Congress if you dismiss them as a candidate? Take a deep breath, understand that people will not always be nice in politics, and stop putting your name on posts that can be used against you.
