I frequently have opportunities to be introduced to big-name politicians, but I generally demur. I don’t figure these folks will ever remember me, so what’s the point?
I made an exception, though, the first time I had a chance to meet America’s first rock-star politician, California Attorney General and former (perhaps future?) Governor Jerry Brown. Like many of California’s Democratic baby-boomers, Brown fascinates me, and he was charming and attentive in person.
This coming Friday, February 1, you can meet him too! AG Brown will be speaking at the opening dinner of the 2008 convention of the Democratic Party of Orange County at the Paradise Pier Hotel in the Disneyland Resort.
Brown is a terrific speaker and very approachable, so you really can meet him at this event. I recommend it highly! The dinner starts at 7 pm and costs $100.
Click here for the flyer for the convention, or here to order tickets.
(Brown’s got these wonderful wild eyebrows, which I think are worth the price of admission all by themselves.)
Does the Attorney General support the extension of the 241?
Does the Democratic Party of Orange County support the extension of the 241?
Jerry’s eyebrows are a bit scary, but he’s the most honest polititian I’ve spoken to in many years. Ask him a question and be ready for a real direct answer. Great man! Great AG! Look forward to him cleaning up California’s mess…
you should ask him why he let tan nguyen off the hook. pandering to the vietnamese community?
As a liberal Democrat, I hope that Jerry Brown does not become California’s next Governor.
