The Edited Fleischman; let’s change 8 words

Jon’s lede paragraph from today’s Flash Report commentary:

It would seem that the more that a microscope is applied to the dealings of Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, the more it shows a pattern — that absolute power does corrupt absolutely.  One can probably figure that at some point Nunez was, well, like the rest of us.  You know, work hard and don’t take anything for granted?  But at some point, or maybe slowly over time, the big gavel of being the Assembly Speaker has gone to the man’s head. 

And what a little editing can do. Specifically, we’re changing 8 words

It would seem that the more that a microscope is applied to the dealings of Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona, the more it shows a pattern — that absolute power does corrupt absolutely.  One can probably figure that at some point Nunez Carona was, well, like the rest of us.  You know, work hard and don’t take anything for granted?  But at some point, or maybe slowly over time, the big gavel badge of being the Assembly Speaker Sheriff has gone to the man’s head. 

Isn’t it ironic?

  1. It’s so ironic that all of these politicans who find themselves in trouble label their problems “political,” when they are the ones who politicized their jobs in the first place …

    Carona turns to former Republican Party exec JF, then signs up Schroeder … even the beleaguered Capo Unified Board of Trustees, who used to have members on the Republican Central Committee …

  2. Fleischman is a hack. Absolutely no credibility at all. Not one shred of decency, and not a single honest bone in this little mans body. I saw Fleischman a coupl eof years ago at the OC Fair working the Pacific Amphatheatre during the shows.

    This guy spent the whole time harrassing women by patting them down, under the giuse of searching for drugs or what ever. He was wearing a headset with a cartoonishly large microphone. he looked like a guy working the drive thru window at jack in the Box.

    But I digress, this guys strutted around the Amphatheatre watching the show. he wasnt patrolling or watching out for criminal behavior. He was watching the show. And after the show he was out stoppping women that he thought he could frisk and get away with it. Obviously he did.

    This guy has shilled his particular brand of Yellow Journalism for too long. Someone shold force him to aply for an entertainment license as the did with the Jerry Springer show.

    His “news” is not news. Its pure BS.
