Fresh of Todd Spitzer’s rant against Steven Greenhut in Sunday’s Register is this post from Jon Fleischman at the Flash Report.
It seems the conservatives have latched on to this notion that liberals in positions of government are “pro-criminal.” Repeat a lie often enough and people tend to believe it (like “Only Republicans can protect us from Terrorists” and “Republicans are for limited government” and “Republicans respect individual liberty” when support shown to the current administration in DC from the OC is a signed confession that facts don’t get in the way of rhetoric).
So let’s take it to the next level here: Fleischman proclaims on this website that he was leader in the effort in California to elect George W. Bush as president in 2000. Dick Cheney was part of that ticket. Scooter Libby was Dick Cheney’s chief of staff. Scooter Libbywas just sentenced to 30 months in jail and a huge fine for this role in Plame-gate. Scooter Libby is a criminal. Many prominent Republicans, like the Fleischman supported former Tenn. senator Fred Thompson, continue to lobby for a pardon for Libby.ÂÂ
This makes these Republicans PRO-CRIMINAL.
ÂÂ
But that logic, Pelosi not rebuking Dem William ” Cold Cash” Jefferson makes her Pro-Criminal????
You get my point Tom. Both sides can be accused of harboring “pro-criminal” positions. But I’m not going to let the GOP off the hook for their own examples
