The Mike Shelton cartoon above ran in the Orange County register in mid-February. Shelton is known for never speaking ill of any Republican, and this cartoon in particular received some flack from his blog on the OC Register’s website. A number of righties called on Barrack Obama to apologize for using the term “wasted” when referring to how the administration has used American soldiers in the Iraq war.
Enter John McCain using the same term on the Letterman show a few days ago…”wasted lives. McCain immediately corrected himself the following day saying he should have used the word “sacrifice.”
Since I know that Shelton won’t be doing it, I’ve taken the liberty and updated Mr. Shelton’s cartoon for our readers:
