Still no explanation from Lou Correa

We’ve been waiting for 9 days now for Lou Correa to send out an explanation for his vote on SJR1, which was a resolution to urge Congress and the President not to escalate the U.S. involvement in Iraq.

We’ve contacted Correa’s office quite regularly, and I’ve been told by a couple of you that read this blog that you have too, and we have yet to hear an official explanation for why Correa voted the way that he did.

Until we hear an official reason for his vote, I encourage everyone to continue calling his Sacramento office: (916)651-4034.  We can’t let Correa forget that he works for us–we elected him, and we will be responsible for re-electing him.

Andrew Davey at Calitics posted that he received a telephone call from Senator Correa, and Correa said that he didn’t want the conversation to hit the blogs (so he called a blogger?!?).  Do you think that Correa plans on calling all of the 284,212 registered voters in the 34th?  Wouldn’t it be easier to release an official explanation?
