Matt Cunningham over at Red County/OCBlog has posted the press release of two timing Supevisorial candidate, and Westminster Mayor Pro-Tem Kermit Marsh announcing that he has jumped out of the contest to, spend more time with Carlos Bustamante’s illegitimate child*, I mean ENDORSE CARLOS BUSTAMANTE!
(*an unconfirmed rumor)
According to Kermit, Carlos has saved the county taxpayers millions of dollars as a county manager. If he has, it’s news to me but as a manager that would be his job anyway. Too bad Carlos hasn’t done much to save libraries in Santa Ana, which is also his job. I cannot see the conservatives supporting Bustamante, who supported the recent and early salary increases for public safety employees. Given his record, I cannot understand the Republican support he claims.ÂÂ
But back to Kermit’s early withdrawal… This information is a little too late for Carlos (on any number of fronts) because with Kermit’s name still on the ballot, people in Westminster may think he is still running. For those who know Kermit has left the field, they are more likely to vote for Mark Rosen, who they are more likely to have heard about than some guy from Santa Ana named Bustamante.
So let’s have a moment of silence for the end of Kermit’s second bid for Supervisor.
And then there were eight.
1st District Voters Take Note: Carlos “Forrest Gump” Bustamante says…
This election is like a box of chocolates…
There are so many candidates to choose from,
you don’t know what you’re going to get.
ÂÂ
Hey Chris, a few of us really need to pitch in a bit of money to buy Carlos a Bubba Gump hat and a box of chocolates. We can also have it delivered certified mail after the election.
I can pitch in $5.
Now that he’s no longer running, you folks have no idea what I had to go through to get a good picture of Kermit.
I heard Tim Whitacre has Ms. Piggy tied up in his basement…
Hmmm. Rarely a mention of Umberg’s marital infidelity on this blog, but we do have a snarky reference to an “unconfirmed rumor” about Carlos Bustamante.
Nice.
The rumor is untrue, by the way. I had that claim shopped to be a few weeks ago by one of the other campaigns. I checked it out and it was untrue — something the other campaign is well aware of.
Matt/Jubal:
We leave the attacks on Umberg to Red County/OCBlog. We really don’t want to encroach on your material.
As far as the rumor goes, as long as I’ve made it clear that I heard it as a rumor, I figure the readers can decide. And of course, we know how reliable a denial is.
For the record, I think that the claim that Carlos has saved the County taxpayers “millions of dollars” is also an unconfirmed rumor.
So is much of Carlos’s backround. Look at Carlos as being one big “uncomfirmed rumor.”
as far as martial infidelity goes, what goes on in a marriage is between those two people in it. Though if you choose to attack someone’s record based on their marriage, one needs to be prepared to have tons of Republican hypocrisy thrown right back.
“as far as martial infidelity goes, what goes on in a marriage is between those two people in it”
But if your accused of creating a child and you allegedly don’t pay any support and Mike Capizzi needs to go after you for child support for the baby girl you allegedly created, should the county hide this info or should your attorneys threaten people who have this info?
I heard Tim Whitacre was accused of a domestic violence brought by a young Latina woman. If Whitacre has Ms. Peggy in the basement, I hope he doesn’t beat her up.
