It looks like Dana Rohrabacher is afraid of getting into the issues with his opponent Jim Brandt. According to Brandt’s campaign team, Jim is ready and willing to debate anytime, anywhere and on any issue, but Rohrabacher is hiding. From an email I just got:
Rohrabacher either wants to wait until just days before the election or won’t debate at all. This is not fair to voters, especially Vote-By-Mail voters.
Here’s how you can help:
E-mail dana@surfdana.com or call Rohrabacher’s campaign office at 714-969-7457 and demand that he debate his challenger!
Write letters to the editors of your local papers demanding that Rohrabacher debate Jim Brandt.

What a puss.
I guess Rohrabacher’s afraid because even he knows that Jim has a better grasp of the issues facing OC, LBC, and PV.
So if Dana forfeits, wouldn’t this be a default win for Brandt? [hehe : ) ]
you guys just dont get it do you… Why would Rohrabacher debate someone in his district who he has a commanding lead on.. There is no seen benifit to it. If he wins the debate, no one will care because he already has the lead and will win, while if he loses, all it can do is hurt him. I personally would love to see a good debate against the two, because I think Dana would mop the floor with the other guy. But As a voter and a person who understands elections, there is absolutely no point for Dana to debate that guy…

From the Jim Brandt campaign:
Thank you for writing and making calls pressuring Dana Rohrabacher accept Jim Brandt’s challenge to a debate. We are set for one debate on Monday, October 23rd at Cal State Long Beach (12:30 pm to 1:30 pm). Details will be posted on our calendar soon. There are several other organizations that want to host debates. Jim Brandt is willing to do as many as are needed to ensure that the voters are well informed on the issues and the candidates. Keep the pressure on Rohrabacher!
