State Controller Steve Westly helps to clean up Huntington Beach on the last Saturday before the Democratic primary vote for governor.

Yesterday, the most recent field poll showed Steve Westly picking up speed in the polls. While a record number of potential primary voters are undecided, Steve Westly is now one point ahead of Angelides at 35% to 34%.
While I cannot find that the OC Register or LA Times ran any stories on it, I had the pleasure of helping Steve Westly do a little clean-up of the beach in Surf City, Huntington Beach.
It seems however that I cannot avoid the watchful eye of the camera. The picture accompanying the Sacramento Bee’s coverage shows Steve picking up some trash, and me, in the background on the right, helping out.
