Bush’s Best Moment as President

Bush’s best moment in office? Reeling in big perch

BERLIN (Reuters) – U.S. President George W. Bush told a German newspaper his best moment in more than five years in office was catching a big perch in his own lake.
“You know, I’ve experienced many great moments and it’s hard to name the best,” Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.

“I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake,” he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

Bush said the worst moment was September 11 when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

Doesnt this just say it all?

I really think Bush wanted to say that 9-11 was his favorite moment, because until that moment no one really took him seriously. He had no vision for the country other than getting a tax cut passed that mostly benefitted the richest 1%. He was spending almost all the time at his home in Texas, which really isn’t a ranch (sorry to disappoint all you rednecks out there), apparently fishing for perch, riding his bike, and whatever else. It wasn’t until he showed up in NYC and was photographed with his bullhorn that American people were duped into thinking that we had a “leader” in the Whitehouse.
