People wonder after the passage of SB 1070 if there has ever been a successful challenge to the Minutemen Agenda in the United States. As a matter of fact there was an instance where the community stood up and made it clear the Minutemen’s message of hate was NOT welcome in their community, their hacks were not welcome in public office and they did something about it.

Jordan Brandman Fundraiser a Big Success

Yesterday I attended Bi-Partisan Schmooze Fest 2010 Also known as the kickoff for Jordan Brandman’s re-election campaign to the Anaheim Union High School District Board of Trustees. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot, it was clear what a diverse crowd it was going to be, as I saw Democratic RSCCD Trustee and my good friend John Hanna walking up and Republican Orange Mayor Caroline Cavecche also arriving. To even give more of a visual at what a diverse crowd it was, GLBT activist Jeff LeTrourneau and Red County aficionado Matt Cunningham were in attendance as well.

Brandman University Launches MPA Program – With a new twist

Unlike programs offered at many other universities, many of the courses in Brandman University’s MPA program will be taught by leaders in Orange County and city government, including David Morgan, retired city manager of Anaheim; Curt Pringle, mayor of Anaheim; and Nick berardino, General Manager of OCEA. Being aware of the political context of the area they serve is essential for those in the public sector to be successful.”
