Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC) was named one of the top 10 most trustworthy brands in Orange County, according to a survey conducted by OC METRO and The Values Institute at DGWB, a think tank. PPOSBC joined the likes of Disneyland, Trader Joe’s, Chapman University, and In-N-Out Burger in the survey of residents released this month.
The most severe earthquake to affect Southern California in almost 20 years erupted at 3:40 p.m. today on a poorly understood fault below the U.S.-Mexico border, 19 miles southeast of Mexicali, producing prolonged shaking that was felt by at least 10 million people across at least three states, including residents 270 miles to the northwest in Orange County, where brief, isolated power outages were reported.
In the short term, economic recovery requires funding jobs at least in part by borrowing for the spending to really stimulate the economy. But in the medium to long term, we need to pay back the borrowed money we spend today and have the tax base to address our long-term infrastructure deficit. We believe it is only fair to ask Wall Street to pay for repairing the economy. After all, they are the once, who’s reckless greed helped kill our jobs.

Once again, the SAUSD seeks to sugar coat the problem, claiming they have begun to implement some of the changes demanded by state and federal mandates. Here are some of the options they have in order to get some stimulus money to fix these schools: replace the principal, rehire no more than 50 percent of the staff and change the instructional program; close and reopen as a charter school; close and reassign students to other higher-achieving schools in the district; or replace the principal, increase instructional time and make other changes. So what kind of drastic changes will they make.
