New California US Senate Race Poll; Schiff, Garvey Rise

Rep. Adam Schiff
Rep. Adam Schiff

Adam Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey are on the rise in a newly-released POLITICO|Morning Consult poll for the US Senate seat in California.  Rep. Barbara Lee has improved her standing and Rep. Katie Porter has fallen to third.

But when you factor in the margin of error, the poll has Garvey, Porter and Lee in a — statistical — three-way tie.

Here’s the breakdown among likely voters and undecided voters:

  • Schiff: 28 percent
  • Garvey: 19 percent
  • Porter: 17 percent
  • Lee: 14 percent
  • James P. Bradley (Republican): 7 percent
  • Eric Early (Republican): 7 percent
  • Christina Pascucci (Democrat): 4 percent
  • Denice Gary-Pandol (Republican): 1 percent
  • Other/undecided: 3 percent

Of the candidate’s, Schiff has the biggest war chest.  California Republicans really have nowhere else to go than to Garvey, who is the Herschel Walker candidate of 2024.

Porter was down before in 2018 and came roaring back to take the Primary and the Congressional seat.  Don’t count her out.
