Dear Supporters,

We’re excited to announce the strategic change in Dom Jones’ political race. After careful consideration, Dom Jones has decided to switch from her campaign for Congress to the State Assembly race in AD-72 in which she is running as the sole democratic candidate. Please see press release below:

DOM JONES EMERGES AS SOLE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR ASSEMBLY DISTRICT AD-72, SHIFTING THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE IN ORANGE COUNTY

In a strategic move poised to reshape the political landscape of Orange County, Dom Jones, a distinguished Celebrity Public Figure, Community Leader, business owner, and ardent advocate for youth, civil rights, and global cooperation, has transitioned from her bid for Congress in CA-47 to become the exclusive Democratic contender for Assembly District 72.

Jones’ timely decision, made at the eleventh hour of the filing deadline, ensures a clear path through the primaries and solidifies her position as the Democratic torchbearer in the General Election alongside presidential candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

With over ten months of tireless campaigning under her belt, Dom Jones now sets her sights on AD-72, an endeavor she champions with unprecedented zeal. Recognized for her unyielding tenacity and innate leadership acumen, Jones boasts an impressive track record as a United Nations Government Relations Ambassador for The O.C. Chapter, Orange County Democratic Party Central Committee Alternate, a non-profit leader, and a prominent advocate for the rights and well-being of young people.

California State Controller, Malia M. Cohen, stands firmly in support of Jones’ candidacy, emphasizing her unparalleled dedication and vision for Orange County. “Dom Jones is a force to be reckoned with. She embodies tenacity, a natural gift for leadership, and possesses the unique ability to unite diverse voices within Orange County. Her commitment to balanced legislation, economic equity, and unity is precisely what our community needs,” stated Controller Cohen.

Furthermore, Jones’ campaign enjoys the robust endorsement of the National Letter Carriers Association (NALC) and receives unequivocal backing from distinguished figures like Kim Carr, former Mayor of Huntington Beach and City Council Member and Huntington Beach High School Board member and former President, Bonnie Castrey. Carr lauds Jones’ candidacy as a pivotal step towards a more inclusive, balanced, and harmonious Orange County.

Looking ahead, Dom Jones is poised to spearhead fundraising efforts and to engage the vital Gen Z, Millennial, and younger demographics, driving home the imperative for Democrats to exceed expectations in the 2024 General Election. As she emphatically asserts, “This is not a mere party battle, but a contest between right and wrong. It’s time for Orange County to usher in a new era of leadership characterized by honesty, integrity, and a shared commitment to progress. Let us bridge the divides and foster understanding within our communities, ultimately transcending political dogma in favor of our shared humanity.”

Dom Jones’ resolute campaign promises to galvanize Orange County, offering a fresh perspective and a steadfast dedication to the values that resonate with constituents across party lines. Her trajectory marks a pivotal moment in the political narrative, underscoring the urgency for dynamic leadership in the critical times that lie ahead.

  1. That is a less than compelling defense of dom’s qualifications for public office. Why don’t you identify yourself chicken. I’m a democrat with the right to voice my opinion. It obviously struck a nerve. Not sorry coward.

  2. Why would democrat party put all eggs in one basket on a candidate that has already failed to raise donations.
