MAGA GOP Congressional Reps push Trump for Speaker

There is a teeny weensy problem with the notion of Donald Trump becoming Speaker of the House; Rule 26.

Rule 26 of the GOP Conference states, “A member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed.”

The conference’s rules are voted on by all members in the November before each congressional session. So Republicans would have to do away with this rule.

But should this rule be abolished and Trump gets the votes to be speaker, he’s third in line for the presidency and what would security around President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris look like then?
