OC Politicos Condemn OC Supervisors Vote to Ban Pride Flag

Plenty of anger directed at Supervisor Doug Chaffee and the two Republicans on the OC’s Board of Supervisors to ban the flying of the Pride Flag on County property. Chaffee is supposed to be a Democrat, and he issued a lame statement regarding the vote.

Here’s a sampling of what OC elected had to say about the move.

Rep. Katie Porter (CA-47)

“As Orange County’s Congresswoman, I condemn yesterday’s decision—made during #PrideMonth, no less—by the Board of Supervisors to ban the Pride flag from being flown on county property. This month and every month, we should be lifting up our LGBTQ+ neighbors, not excluding them.”

Santa Ana Council member Jesse Lopez

“No government space will ever be neutral when occupied by bigots. Their policy choices will reflect their prejudice.”

Supervisor Vince Sarmiento:

“I am disappointed and disheartened about the new county policy ..which essentially restricts the County from flying Pride Flags on County buildings to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.  Pride Month symbolizes acceptance, hope and the continued struggle for equal justice.”

Garden Grove Council member Kim Bernice Nguyen:

“The Pride flag is not divisive, but a symbol of hope for a community that continues to endure, struggle and fight for basic recognition.”

Buena Park Council member Connor Traut:

“LGBTQ people continue to face injustice. Buena Park remains an avid champion for inclusivity and acceptance, recognizing that our efforts in this struggle must persist.”

Sen. Catherine Blakespear, D-Encinitas (district covers South County):

“The decision made by the Orange County Board of Supervisors today is aimed at the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month in a clear message of disrespect and intolerance,” Blakespear said. “As Mayor of Encinitas, I endorsed the flying of the Pride flag at City Hall because it is important for government to show it is inclusive and welcoming to all the people it serves. I am proud that Encinitas became the first city in San Diego County to do so.”

“As LGBTQ+ rights are under attack in many states, it’s more important than ever that our California communities embrace and publicly demonstrate support for the diversity of human experiences. Flying the rainbow flag in June is an important symbol of recognition and celebration that pushes back against normalizing intolerance, discrimination and violence toward members of the LGBTQ+ community.”

  1. In light of the sexual disorientation aimed at young children, I thank Donald Wagner, Doug Chaffee and Andrew Do. The socialist reactions of hatred here are very predictable. Why does the LGBTQ+ community need constant affirmation that the entire world arena accepts them? My gay guests don’t expect me to put down a rainbow welcome mat when they stop by. The song, We’re Coming for Your Children self-affirms homosexuals as authorities of the definition of “hate”. Those with a nefarious motive of grooming young children with age-inappropriate sexually explicit ideas can hide under the umbrella of the LGBTQ+ cult.
A teenager’s window of puberty can be legally and permanently blocked by chemicals without parent’s permission. Why do the medical facilities that provide irreversible top and bottom surgeries for minors openly brag about the money? Parents speaking at school board meetings are stopped from reading pornography from the school library books. Age appropriate reproductive information must include parent’s input. Teacher’s private life sex preferences are unacceptable topics of discussion for grades K-12 in public classrooms.
Gays perform Drag Queen appearances at Churches and also at preschool library readings, moving out from the bar/restaurant venues.
In an online posted hospital review photo, a gay man holds a surrogate-bred newborn son up to his own bare nipple to suckle. American corporate websites sport the rainbow icon, but the same companies eliminate the gay logo for their Chinese, Russian, and Mideastern home pages. Laws and enforcements protecting everyday citizens are sufficient for all crime victims. To me, Wagner, Do, and Chaffee are saying God loves everyone, including straights.

  2. Saw Supervisor Sarmiento at the OC PRIDE event Sunday (Rockin’ turn out). He was dutifully and to some degree shamelessly defending the recall against Jessie Lopez.

But, ever the politician Vice ran for cover when asked about Vern and Donna Nelsons SUCK MY C@CK TWEET AND HER SCREEN NAME
Mind you this was at a PRIDE event and that was a “bridge too far”. He ran like Greg Diamond from a job application!

  3. Why is Greg Diamond’s CATER making rounds got another mailer from the “Brought To You By The Orange Juice Blog” guy. Parodying his whole Kitchen Table Lawyer thing and an obviously doctored parody of his SSDI and California Disability public assistance check stub, which was pretty funny, but held an interesting nugget of truth relating to the goings on in Anaheim today.

It will be fun to see him weasel his way out of his obvious lies and fraud

  4. I haven’t seen that yet; I’m sure it’s in a no return address envelope in my mailbox

  5. Mine had a return address of Anna Drive.

It also had a of Mrs. Nelson and an old fashioned drawing of a Cambells soup can.

I am at a loss as to why ANYONE would take these losers seriously.
