Kim Nguyen Calls on Michelle Steel to Return Contribution from Marjorie Taylor-Greene

CA-45 Congressional Candidate Kim Bernice Nguyen Calls on Rep. Michelle Steel to Return Donation from Dangerous Conspiracy Theorist Marjorie Taylor-Greene

GARDEN GROVE, CA            After reporting this morning in the Sacramento Bee revealed that Rep. Michelle Steel accepted money from embattled, antisemitic Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene — who endorsed a “national divorce” of red states from the union and sided with an alleged leaker of top secret national documents —  Councilwoman and congressional candidate Kim Bernice Nguyen called on Rep. Steel to return the donation.

“Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene’s toxic brand of MAGA extremism, conspiracy theories, and antisemitism have been roundly rejected by voters and are out of step with the values of Orange and LA County families. Further, her defense of an alleged traitor who leaked top secret documents has been condemned by many in her own party, including Sen. Lindsay Graham who called her ‘terribly irresponsible.’ Michelle Steel needs to return this donation immediately and speak out against hateful language and coup-inciting rhetoric.”

Rep. Greene pledged to donate $275,000 to the NRCC back in February. Calls on Michelle Steel to reject those donations were met with silence, all the while Steel was pocketing $2,000 directly from Greene, signaling she cares more about the MAGA movement and less about the values of families back home.

The daughter of a Vietnamese refugee and a Mexican immigrant, Kim Bernice Nguyen was the first in her family to graduate high school and college. At just 25, she won a historic election as the youngest person and first Latina ever elected to the Garden Grove City Council. A leader on women’s issues, Ms. Nguyen has stood up to harassment and sought equality and justice throughout Southern California and has fought to ensure that immigrants, like her parents, have the dignity and opportunity to succeed in our communities. A homegrown leader, Ms. Nguyen attended Clinton-Mendenhall Elementary, Doig Intermediate, and Santiago High School. As a healthcare expert, she will bring a much-needed public health background to Congress.

CA-45 is one of the top pickup opportunities for Democrats in 2024. It is a Biden +6 district with a Democratic registration advantage of 5.6%. Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) and Latino voters are a majority of the district at 51.6% – with Vietnamese voters making up the largest block of AAPI voters at 58.4%. If elected, Ms. Nguyen would be the first person of Vietnamese descent ever elected to Congress in California and only the third in US history. She would also be the first Asian-Latina in Congress and one of a growing group of millennials seeking to make change on our most crucial issues.

  1. This race is KBN’S too lose. SCARY version is Gillian (should be GINAGIN) over at the OJB, along with his “skipper” try to demonstrate their Democrat bona-fides by doing and an about face on the women that they called HORRIBLE names.

Michelle Steele has thrice used Vern and Companies like Ali in the ring (rope a dope). Luckily I am told Kim is too smart for that, she wouldn’t patronize a restaurant they patronize (Varsity Burger is to Vern, what ARC is to Kim).

With Nathan Fletchers struggles, this seat becomes very competitive.
