The oldest PR trick in the book is to always announce something that bad news late on a Friday afternoon. And if its a Holiday weekend, even better.
So the OC GOP released the statement below on Friday at 4:04 PM PDT and its full of excuses. Here it is:
Statement on the FBI Probe in Anaheim
Orange County, CA – Hon. Fred M. Whitaker, Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County released the following statement on the FBI probe in the City of Anaheim:
“The FBI public corruption probe centered in Anaheim reminds all of us that there is a dark side to human nature, and it isn’t limited to either political party.
We note that the Republican Party of Orange County has not endorsed any candidate in Anaheim since 2016. The Republican Party of Orange County supports a complete and thorough investigation by law enforcement.
Furthermore, we believe that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but that anyone found breaking the law should be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible.”
Just wondering if Mr. Whitaker believes that if it leads all the way up to former President Trump and his allies who tried to stay in power on January 6, 2021?
