It took awhile, but the OC GOP has finally condemned former Mission Viejo Mayor and Congressional candidate Greg Raths for anti-Semitic comments made at a event before the OC Islamic Foundation. Here’s the video: https://freebeacon.com/elections/california-republican-goes-full-ilhan-omar-in-anti-semitic-rant/
So if you’re a Republican attending Rath’s fundraiser (a showing of Maverick:Top Gun) perhaps you’ll want to learn more about his issues with one of your strongest allies. Or, perhaps he believes Jewish Space Lasers cause Californian wildfires.
Here’s the announcement from OC GOP:
Orange County, CA – Hon. Fred M. Whitaker, Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County released the following statement condemning Greg Rath’s anti-Semitic rant:
“The Washington Free Beacon released video of Congressional Candidate Greg Raths speaking to the Orange County Islamic Foundation where he went on an anti-Semitic rant. [Washington Free Beacon]
Let me be clear, Greg Raths’ comments have no place in Orange County and have no place in the Republican Party. We condemn his remarks in the strongest terms. There are no excuses, anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic remarks are unacceptable.
Anti-Semitism is not conservative. It is not liberty minded. It has its roots in totalitarianism. Sadly, the Democrats are not rejecting Ilhan Omar who says the same things we just heard in this video.
It seems that after three failed races for Congress and another for Supervisor, Raths is so desperate, that he’ll go anywhere and say anything to be elected.
I call on Greg to apologize to the Jewish community in Orange County for saying things that I pray he doesn’t believe. Yet, based on his interview with the New York Post, it is unclear what he believes or if he’s doubling down. [New York Post] Pandering of this magnitude makes one irrelevant in a losing campaign, and a danger if elected.
The Republican Party stands with Young Kim for reelection because she is an accomplished, principled and conversative legislator. She respects the Jewish community and the State of Israel as our only democratic ally in the Middle East.
The Republican Party of Orange County stands against antisemitism. We stand with our Congresswoman Young Kim.”
Anti-Semitic doesn’t mean anything anymore. The pro-Israel lobby has made it a term to cut off discussion on the terrible, criminal and inhumane treatment of the Palestinians by the Zionist Purge. I don’t know what Raths said but it may have included a good deal of truth. It makes me more rather than less likely to vote for him.

It is apparently now offensive and unacceptable to value the human rights of Palestinians and their right to their own country and to oppose the large amount of money Israel puts into funding politicians in the USA ensuring a steady flow of taxpayer money to Tel-Aviv.
No one objects to mentioning the “Chinese lobby” or the “Russian lobby” but the moment you bring up the “Israeli lobby” the “Israel-first” neocon right pull the leftist trick of screaming racism.
I am personally delighted to see a conservative republican willing to engage with and sympathise with Muslims such as myself.
Greg Raths 2022!
