Mission Viejo, CA – Retired Orange County Fire Captain Joe Kerr has announced his campaign for the open and newly redrawn 38th Senate District. Kerr will be running in the June 2022 primary. He also released a campaign video titled “Running Towards Solutions” detailing his experience and drive to represent California.

Joe released the following statement announcing his campaign:

“One of the most important skills you learn fighting fires is that, when things get really difficult, you have to slow down and concentrate on what matters. The more dangerous the situation, the more important it is to stay focused on the task at hand. Our great state is in trouble and too many issues demand leadership – from the wildfires that rage year-round, the ongoing drought, and the pandemic are just a few issues California faces, and I’m running toward them. I’m running for State Senate to fight for workers, the environment, tackle homelessness, and create better jobs. Together, we will run towards solutions for all Californians.”
