OC is an Ideal Place to Wait out the Zombie Apocalypse; Huntington Beach is #1

In 2011, the CDC published a satirical piece on how to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse.  It’s pretty funny and you can read it here.

The site LawnLove.com dropped the other shoe and posted a list of cities across America best equipped to survive the Zombie invasion.  And all of Orange County does remarkably well, with Huntington Beach alone at the top….a Zombie Apocalypse #1.

From the site:

Huntington Beach: A Zombie Hunter’s Haven

If any U.S. city has what it takes to beat an army of hungry corpses, it’s Huntington Beach, California, our No. 1 Best City for Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse.

Turns out Surf City USA is more than just your average California beach town. With a high share of healthy residents, especially those who took up jogging in the past year (No. 26 in both metrics), strong Protections (No. 4), and high Mobility (No. 20), this city is best prepared to deal with a wave of zombies.

In the movies, Huntington Beach would be the city where the baddest zombie butt kickers would establish a survivors colony. Better start mapping your journey toward Surf City if you fear the walking dead.

And Fullerton made the top 20 coming in at #19.  Garne Grove was 35, Orange was 38, Irvine masterplans in at #98 and Anaheim comes in at 125.

Criteria was Public Health, Vulnerability Rating, Infrastructure, Supplies, Mobility and some protection rank that factors in number of gun shops, places to get supplies, etc.

In the event of a real Zombie Apocalypse — like the attempted recall of the governor — it not going to be easy to argue with those already brain dead.
