John Moorlach Looks To Big Tobacco, Oil, Gun Money, And Dangerous In-Person Fundraisers In Desperate Attempt To Salvage Campaign
IRVINE – UC Irvine law professor and candidate for Senate District 37 Dave Min announced today he had raised over $350,000 between the March 3 primary and the June 30 reporting deadline. Impressively, this sum was raised even as Min’s campaign went entirely virtual out of respect and caution for the dangers posed by COVID-19.
This stands in stark contrast to anti vaccination conspiracy theorist and career politician John Moorlach, who has repeatedly made light of COVID-19 and continues to flout public health guidelines by holding in-person fundraisers without necessary medical protective equipment, including recent posh fundraisers in Newport Beach and Sacramento.
“While nothing can take away from the momentum behind Professor Min’s historic campaign, it is truly horrifying to see 30 year career politician John Moorlach continue to put his own interests over the safety and well being of Californians,” said Campaign Manger Ash Alvandi. “Vaccinations are not a hoax, the COVID-19 Pandemic is real and we urge John Moorlach to listen to medical professionals. This reckless abandonment of health and public safety hurts our economy and endangers Orange County families.”
Min’s fundraising was predominantly raised from individual contributions, not PACs or the Democratic Party, and to date, Min has received contributions from over 1,500 unique individual donors.
Moorlach, whose political career has been buoyed by corporate financial interests, tobacco companies and gun manufacturers, continues to be a solid investment for these special interests, voting in lock step with their agenda.
Min, a political outsider and independent voice for Orange County families, has rejected oil, tobacco and gun money as his commitment is to the people of Senate District 37, not corporate special interests.
