SANTA ANA – Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido announced today that the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association has formally endorsed his campaign for Orange County’s First District Supervisorial seat.
“The firefighters association is proud to stand with Mayor Pulido for his campaign for County Supervisor,” said Brett Berkompas, Political Affairs Director for the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association. “During his 35 years of public service, he has consistently been a strong and energetic advocate for public safety, first responders, and our many firefighters serving Santa Ana and Orange County. He understands the many challenges our firefighters and paramedics face day-to-day in their service to our community.”
The Orange County Firefighters Association represents over 1,000 professional firefighters servicing and protecting over 1.7 million people daily across 25 different Orange County cities.
“I am honored and proud to have the endorsement and support of our Orange County Firefighters,” said Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido. “Their commitment to protecting our community is unequaled and I am looking forward to working with them after the election to make our county an even safer place to live, work, and raise our families.”
Pulido, who has been a major force in the renaissance and economic revitalization of Santa Ana, was first elected to the Santa Ana City Council in 1986 and is presently serving his 13th term as Mayor, a post he has successfully held since 1994.
