California League of Conservation Voters Backs Josh Newman in Rematch Campaign for the State Senate

Senator Newman

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — In recognition of his unwavering dedication to fighting for a clean energy future, today U.S. Army veteran, businessman and former State Senator Josh Newman earned a monumental endorsement in his rematch bid in State Senate District 29 from the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV), one of California’s most influential environmental groups.

In a statement released alongside the endorsement, California League of Conservation Voters’ Political and Organizing Director Mike Young commented:

“The California League of Conservation Voters is pleased to endorse Josh Newman to once again represent the 29th State Senate District. Josh is a proven and dedicated champion in the fight to combating the climate crisis through not just his words but also his legislative record. In the Senate, Josh demonstrated the ability to bring people together to pass critical environmental policy, such as banning harmful substances that damage our air and water; protecting California’s coastline; and developing a comprehensive strategy that moves California to a 100% renewable energy future. CLCV is proud to endorse Josh Newman for State Senate.”

Recently, Newman’s campaign released a new digital video ad titled “Better Senator,” which highlights his independent, common-sense agenda and features the campaign’s branded ice cream truck, where voters can talk about important issues with the former Senator and his team, while enjoying a complimentary “Better Senator” ice cream sandwich. To find out more about upcoming destinations for the “Better Senator,” follow @BetterSenatorCA on Twitter and Instagram or visit BetterSenator.com.
