Former Irvine mayor and city council member Beth Krom has decided to withdraw from the special election for Third District Supervisor and announced on her social media feed that she’ll run instead for chair of the Democratic Party of Orange County.
Krom is an ideal candidate on a number of fronts. She has significant experience as an elected official. She’s well known on all parts of the County from her years on office and her leadership to stop the proposed commercial airport at El Toro. She can manage difficult people. She can raise money. And she can draw support from progressives to blue dog Democrats.
And Krom understands the need for OC Democrats to build a strong bench. She’s a Truman award Lifetime achievement winner. She knows how to win and her experience and background make her a perfect candidate to lead the Party going into the critical 2020 election.
In exiting the race, Krom threw her support to for the Third District supervisor’s race to former Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. My understanding is a formal announcement is coming soon.
I heard that Michael Fox was removed as an alternate from the executive committee for excessive bullying! About time! The Foxes have to go.
What happened to “Crazy Greg”?
Missed Vern’s repeated articles on Diamond’s expulsion.
For such transparent “journalists”, they sure are full of sh!t. Like Scott Lay said this week: “Stay Off Social Media”. Greg is too self-absorbed to understand.
