Nov 17, 2018, Orange, Calif. — Democratic Party of Orange County Chair Fran Sdao issued a statement today upon the Associated Press’ declaration of victory for Gil Cisneros in California’s 39th Congressional District.
“Congratulations to Gil Cisneros, his talented campaign team, and to thousands of volunteers who worked tirelessly for change,” said Sdao. “Voters clearly want leaders like Gil Cisneros who put aside hateful rhetoric to stand up for good jobs, affordable healthcare, and a clean environment for our families. This victory is no accident. The voters of California’s 39th Congressional District have spoken, and they want Gil on the Hill.”
Gil Cisneros will be the first Navy Veteran, the first Latino, and the first Democrat to represent the 39th District as it is today. For the first time since 1940, all seven House seats in Orange County are in Democratic control.

I know nothing of Cisneros but his background story is incredible. A literal one in a million shot. I will be very interested in how he votes since he is an ex Republican.
