I’ve been pestered for weeks asking for a post regarding the Santa Ana School Board race where blogger Art Pedroza and Angie Cano have teamed up to represent the Charter School crowd and challenge incumbent trustees Valerie Amezcua and John Palacio for a four year term. And they are aligned with current trustee Ceci Igelsias who is running for Santa Ana City Council.
For those who didn’t know, can’t remember, or wish they could forget, this blog and various individuals successfully sued Art Pedroza back in 2009 and won a sizable judgment against him in 2011. A technology blog called “Read, Write, Web” did a story on the lawsuit calling Pedroza “the ultimate sleazeball” back then and that post has since disappeared.
When Pedroza ran for Santa Ana City council in 2008, his campaign website was www.artpedroza.com; I have owned it since 2009. Initially, I would have been happy to sell it back to Pedroza for the $100 I paid for it, had he asked. But he went all “venganza” of us and bought sites related to the blog, our names and business concerns and linked them to gay porn sites and NAMBLA — the North American Man Boy Love Association — which advocates legalized rape of little boys by adult men. Pedroza must think that Santa Ana voters have forgotten about this for this critical campaign. Cano and Iglesias certainly remember it or know about it, but don’t care. But they are aligned with him for this election.
The site artpedroza.com is live again for a few short weeks until election day. There are questions Santa Ana voters should ask him. There are links to news stories and blog posts. And there’s excerpts of emails he’s sent to us. And the site was reviewed by legal counsel. It will be hard to claim defamation when the site uses Pedroza’s own words and poses questions based on documented facts.

Among all of the things I do, this blog is a very small part. I’ll remind you, the vast majority of your comments consist of fecal matter. But please do support a candidate for school board who tried to link his political enemies to NAMBLA. Unless of course, it’s an organization you belong to.
Speaking of other things you do, is it really true that the DPOC censured you for bullying its employees (including a female?)

Yes, life is great. Parents weekend at UCLA with my daughter, LA ComicCon with my son, my wife is kicking butt and taking names, and I closed about five new accounts in the last 45 days. My recent leg surgery was a success and I’m feeling great. My biggest problem is going to be hiring a few people to get all the new work done. Meanwhile, how is your life going? Still living at home, reading the blogs all day, and hiding behind an alias I see.
Maybe they should have tried brain surgery.
