Irvine Council candidate Anthony Kuo is no stranger to this blog. We did a post two years ago about him being untruthful about a hit and run accident he was involved in because the question posed to him suggested the accident was in Irvine not Newport Beach, where it actually happened.

I cite Irvine Company and Lennar because I found through research on California Secretary of State website their significant contributions to PACs that contribute to the sponsor of the ad, “California Taxpayer Protection Committee.” Same group sent around the mailers to Irvine residents implying Ms. Johnson-Norris is a friend of child molesters, etc.
I’ll have to admit…After all the good Irvine Company has done – donating vast amounts of open space to permanent trust, donating millions to the School District for years, etc. – I don’t understand why it would fund in-the-gutter level political ads.
Hopefully I’m mistaken. But the Secretary of State records seem to show otherwise.
