Kev Abazajian, a physicist at UC-Irvine who finished a strong second in the Democrats of Greater Irvine straw poll last month, has earned powerful endorsements from former CDP and DPOC-endorsed Congressional candidate Dave Min and Community activist Anila Ali. In addition, Abazajian and Farrah Khan, who is endorsed by the DPOC, have earned the endorsement of the Sierra Club. Abazajian also earned an endorsement from US Senate candidate Kevin DeLeon.
The Min endorsement is significant in Irvine, where Democratic politics run somewhat counter to the county-wide efforts.
In a short time, Abazajian has racked up an impressive list of endorsements for a candidate who runs outside of the norm for mainstream OC-based Democrats. And he’s the only candidate in Irvine with a byline in Scientific American.
