SANTA ANA, CA – The Phil Bacerra for Santa Ana City Council Campaign today announced he is the top fundraiser among all council candidates in Santa Ana through June 30th. Bacerra’s fundraising haul and campaign momentum have established him as the frontrunner for the open Ward 4 City Council seat. Bacerra is not self-financing and has not loaned any funds to his campaign.

“I’m proud of the grassroots movement we’ve created here in Santa Ana,” Bacerra said. “These numbers show that the residents of Santa Ana are ready for new leadership at City Hall and want a Councilmember who will work to improve public safety, address homelessness, and fight for residents. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and put in the work required so our community is no longer ignored by City Hall.”

Phil Bacerra is a community leader and small business owner that served on the Santa Ana Planning Commission for over five years. Phil is running for City Council in Ward 4, which will be open due to term limits. Phil and his wife, Wendy, are proud homeowners and long time residents of Ward 4.

An editor’s note: Former Santa Ana Council member Roman Reyna is also running for this seat; Reyna’s literature claims he’s running for re-election, but Reyna never held this seat and lost his last bid for city council.  But Reyna is not an incumbent in Ward 4.
