LuisAndres Perez named DPOC Political Director

May 22, 2018 – The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) today announced the hire of LuisAndres Perez, Anaheim native, as its Political Director.

Perez brings nearly a decade of political experience in Orange County, covering a broad range of campaigns and regions from school board to U.S. Congress, in Irvine, Fullerton, San Juan Capistrano, Garden Grove, Anaheim, and many other areas.

The new Political Director position is part of a staff restructure helmed by DPOC Chair Fran Sdao. Sdao established a flattened hierarchy that shifted staff leadership from a single executive director position to four cooperative lead roles (administrative, communications, field, and political). The restructure expands DPOC workload and operations, while including more diverse input on key decision-making.

“We had many outstanding applicants, making this a tough decision,” said Fran Sdao, DPOC Chair. “We look forward to expanding our services for more Orange County Democrats and continuing our growth.”
