MARK ANTHONY PAREDES ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR GARDEN GROVE CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 4

 

GARDEN GROVE, CA – Mark Anthony Paredes, a long-time resident of Garden Grove, a teacher, a healthcare advocate and a former Planning commissioner for the City of Garden Grove announces his candidacy for Garden Grove City Council District 4.

Mark Anthony is running for City Council because he believes that every Garden Grove resident should feel safe in their neighborhood and seeks to improve the quality of life for all. He deeply cares and celebrates the diversity in the community and understands the importance of being a committed public servant. As Councilmember, he is ready to help bring growth to our city to improve the business environment. He will partner with community organizations to address needed services and will foster increased diverse activities for all residents.

He has experience working with a variety of non-profit organizations and building relationships within the community. These alliances have resulted in the creation of a number of innovative programs. Two such programs are the inclusion of school-based health centers inside of our schools, and the partnering with the small business community to both create jobs and assist people in gaining healthcare access. Mark Anthony is an avid volunteer and supports his community in many ways to include serving on the boards of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Garden Grove and the Heritage Museum of Orange County. He also actively serves on the Orange County Transportation Authority Citizen Advisory Committee.

Mark Anthony is ready to lead and has been endorsed by many elected officials, school board members, city commissioners, and has the support of many residents.
