Happy New Year

One quarter of the Trump term is in the books and it’s our New Year’s wish that mid-term elections provide solid Democratic majorities to the House and the Senate with all of the obstruction and investigative powers Congress yielded during the Obama administration.

Our wishes for the New Year:

  1. Democrats retain supermajority control of the state assembly and the state senate.
  2. That several Congressional candidates in CD-49, CD-45, CD-48 and CD-39 realize that have not raised enough money, lack the needed endorsements and bow out to run for state assembly, state senate, city council, mayor or school board so the strongest candidates advance to the voters in the primary and for party unity going into the November elections.
  3. Robert Mueller finally delivers on his investigation and that Congress does its duty.
  4. That we find a decent candidate for Mayor of Irvine to challenge inept Don Wagner and, with the exception of Farah Kahn, come up with smarter, better city council candidates who are not a blank check for FivePoint and its consultants
  5. That union investigations of Julio Perez call for his firing or resignation so he can learn the true meaning of a private sector job.
  6. That new policies be installed at DPOC and the OCLabor unions that make sexual harassment a thing of the past.
  7. Exceptional giving to the Voice of OC to maintain independent excellence in journalism
  8. New bosses at the OC Register less dependent on ad dollars from Disney and developers in exchange for fair journalistic practices especially when it comes to editorials.
  9. The OC Register to actually endorse Democrats for office instead of the typical rubber stamp of Republicans; and if they don’t, the continues loss of subscriptions of the paper no matter how many friends I have still working there.  Serve your readers not your advertisers!
  10. A safe, healthy, prosperous and happy new year to everyone!

  1. As of Nov. 2018, blue-state Republican statewide office holders and blue-state Republican members of Congress will be moved from the endangered species list to the political halls of extinction. #SAD

  2. Let’s keep going with a Democratic wave.

There have been 70 D vs. R contests. Of those, 24 seats were held by Democrats, and Republicans flipped just one. But Democrats flipped an incredible 13 seats out of the 46 held by Republicans, or almost one-third! (There were four more seats flipped in non-D vs. R contests as well; two in multi-way races in Georgia (R to D), one in a nonpartisan contest in Mississippi (D to R), and one in Louisiana, where no Democrat ran.)

In the special elections to replace GOP congressional representatives, only one succeeded. The take away is that many of those were considered safe seats and turned out to be very close calls for the GOP.

2018 could be a great year.

  3. In the Summer of 2016 I reposted here a letter from Henry “Paul” Lipton outlining Greg Diamond’s belligerence within the county party apparatus.

This week a similar letter hit the desks of party leaders, donors, members and candidates. Only this time the charges were FAR MOR SERIOUS.

The letter from Henry “Paul” Lucas, which I agreed NOT to share, alleges Victor Valladares, A DPOC Central party member of DRUGGING and RAPING a women. Further, Valladares allegedly filmed his attack and used it to intimidate, harass and belittle his victim.

The letter, in Henry “Paul” Lipton’s own words, describes point by point, member by member, those who have defended, supported and spoken out on Valladares behalf.

The letter, sent not only to DPOC members, but GOP candidates, local media and donors, paints a picture of a dysfunctional party, who favors racial harmony over the safety of women.

This is a SET-UP. It is a perfect storm leading into 2018 Mid-Terms.

Whoever Henry “Paul” Lipton is, he perfectly set up Farrah Kahn, Doug Applegate, Harley Rhoda and especially Anaheim City Council Member Jose Moreno who has a track record of supporting abusers (Izzy, Jose Moreno).

Clearly, most DPOC members are not back from their holiday, but, if Fran and company DOES NOT ADRESS this serious charge ASAP, we will become the party of rapist protectors in the name of equality.

FWIW – When I first published Henry “Paul” Liptons account of Greg Diamond, it was met by fierce opposition from the OJB losers, guess what happened: Royce, Issa, Walters and Donald J. Trump got elected.

Laugh all you want: the FACTS speak louder than typed words.

      • Diamond defends Valladares against all of his charges/convictions. He claims that Victor should be left alone because “as a person of color he has endured enough.”

      • I don’t know that he has anything to do with Victor DRUGGING and RAPING his ex-wife. My mention of him was to merely point out that Henry “Paul” Lipton, widely thought to be Paul Lucas, was spot on that summer when he accused Greg of malfeasense as a DPOC member. Of Course, Henry was spot on.

This letter, which I DO NOT have permission to reprint (although I am sure others will provide it beg’s the county party aparatus to take action against Victor Valladares and calling out his closely aligned supporters. Hopefully, the editor here or someone else get’s one that can be republished. It’s hard not to agree with Lipton, that theparty appears to be a haven for Latino Sex Offenders: Perez/Valladares/Diaz……..

We’ll see though. I am losing confidence in the party leadership.

          • I could probably. But won’t. Just wait it will make rounds. It was dated 12-28. So most folks aren’t back to work yet or came back to a hornets nest……….
