Support the PastaThon for the Caterina Club in Anaheim

It’s not often we post an announcement from a Republican, but Anaheim Council member Steve Faessel sent this note about the Caterina Club’s annual PastaThon which raises money to help Anaheim White House chef Bruno Serato feed the city’s hungry children who reside in low income housing and motels in Anaheim.

His note about the event is below:

Dear Neighbor,

I am asking for Anaheim’s District 5’s participation in the 2017 Caterina’s Club Annual PastaThon held by the Chef Bruno Serato, owner of the Anaheim White House Restaurant.

Chef Bruno formed Caterina’s Club in 2005 to feed our city’s children in need who reside in low-budget motels. Bruno’s second program, called “Welcome Home,” assists these motel-bound families with moving into permanent homes by paying their security deposits and other expenses.

To read more about Caterina’s Club, please visit their website at caterinasclub.org.

If you want to help the children and their families that live in motels around our city, please consider donating packages of uncooked pasta and containers of pasta sauce during this year’s PastaThon. You may also make monetary donations through the Caterina’s Club website.

Donations can be dropped off at the following collection centers. Please deliver the donations by Thursday, December 7th. Our volunteers will deliver the items to the Caterina’s Club Event at Christ Cathedral, Garden Grove the following day.

  1. Anaheim Fire Chief Bruegman has also graciously allowed the two District 5 Fire Houses to serve as collection centers.

They are Fire Station 5 at 1154 N. Kraemer Blvd and Fire Station 7 at 2222 E. Ball Road.

  2. My family and I have been volunteering with Bruno for years. It is a wonderful cause. It is one of the few places I have volunteered where EVERYONE check’s their ego’s and attitudes at the door. Thank you to Christ Cathedral and the RCDO for offering up a spot!
