Dr. Hans Keirstead’s Statement on President Trump’s Ban on Transgender People in the Military

LAGUNA BEACH – Today, Dr. Hans Keirstead had the following response to President Trump’s announcement that he is banning transgender people from joining the military.

“Anyone who wants to step up to protect our country by joining the military is a patriot who should be allowed to serve, period,” said Dr. Hans Keirstead.

“Thousands of transgender men and women already serve honorably in our armed forces and there is no doubt that thousands more are willing to answer the call. We are only doing ourselves a disservice by turning away individuals who are among the best, the brightest, and the bravest,” said Keirstead.

  1. Ah yes, don’t let mentally ill people purchase firearms, but give mentally ill *transgender* soldiers automatic weapons and put them in extremely stressful situations, where their fellow troops’ lives depend on them.

Insanity – it comes with the liberal territory.

    • Transgender people do tend to suffer significantly more from mental disorders. This is not my just my opinion but the opinion of medical professionals based on their research. If you want to deny those facts, that is your prerogative. However, in the name of equality, don’t just claim their right to serve without knowing the facts. Also, the military does have physical and physiological standards for individuals wanting to join the military in order to maintain the best fighting force. Unfortunately, Obama tried to turn the military into a social experiment for all of his victim groups—–bad idea!
