The Phil Janowicz for Congress campaign today called on Rep. Ed Royce (R-Fullerton), the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, to hold public hearings on the Russia scandal now engulfing the Trump White House.
Janowicz released the following statement:
“The newest revelation that a son of the President, who was intimately involved in the President’s campaign, met with foreign nationals to influence the outcome has numerous ethical and legal liabilities. Chairman Royce needs to bring this issue before his committee immediately for a full hearing. If Barack Obama were still president, we know the hearing would already be scheduled. Ed Royce needs to put his country before his party and fulfill his public obligation.”
Congressman Royce has been chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee since 2013.
Phil Janowicz is President and CEO of Quill & Abacus, an education consulting firm focused on narrowing the opportunity gap for first-generation and low-income students. He formerly taught chemistry at CSUF. There, he founded the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program for Chemistry, which provides extra instruction, mentoring, and support for students. Phil lives in Buena Park with his wife, Angela, a native of Rowland Heights and an English teacher at Fullerton College. They have two dogs, Molly and Jasmine, and a cat named Arya.
