DPOC endorses Bauman for CDP Chair

The Democratic Party of Orange County has endorsed Eric Bauman for California Democratic Party chair at Monday’s Central Committee Meeting.

The non-binding endorsement vote had 49 completed ballots (I’m told some ballots were not signed or did not include the name of the central committee member voting).  Bauman received 30 votes; Kimberly Ellis got 17 and Lenore Albert received two.

There was a challenge to the ballot by OJ blogger and DPOC eBoard member Greg Diamond that the ballot should have included a “no endorsement” option; Diamond’s challenge was soundly defeated and the Party chose to endorse.

Again, Bauman’s endorsement by the DPOC is non-binding so delegates to the state party convention are free to vote for the candidate of their choice.  Regardless of who is ultimately elected, the vote will be historic.  Democrats will elect a gay man or an African American woman to lead the party through the 2018 mid-terms and into 2020.

  1. It is true there was nearly a fist fight between Jeff LeTourneau and Greg Diamond?

    • there was a commotion; someone suggested I go break it up. I was more interested in Florence’s presentation. I know Greg stepped outside. I think those two will have an interesting bus ride to Sacramento for the convention…..you can’t pick your in-laws……..

  2. Facebook posts say Diamond tried to physically intimidate his brother in law. Crazy Greg had to go outside to cool off for at least a half hour. Is Greg off his meds?

  3. I think the DOOC has grounds to remove Craxy Greg based on today’s OrangeJuice blog post

Kim Ellis ought to distance herself from this idiot

  4. You can’t make this stuff up. Even Chemo/Radiation can’t quell the “cancer” in the DPOC. Greg contiues off the deep end with his paranoid posts and dellusional antics.

For a guy like Jeff, this gives him an easy out to distance himself with Diamond. Mirevette and company too.

  5. Per Jeff, Greg lied to Fran about party rules. And then got pissed when rules were followed. Kim Ellis cultivates people like this. Bullies.
