Garden Grove, Calif. –Assemblymember Tom Daly has endorsed Kim Nguyen for Garden Grove City Council, District 6. Daly’s Assembly district encompasses much of the 6th District.
Assemblymember Daly has been a fixture in central Orange County for many years. Daly served for 10 years as Mayor of Anaheim where he led the expansion of the Disney Resort as well as negotiated efforts to bring several new acres of park space to the city. Daly then served 10 years as Orange County Clerk/Recorder where he made local offices more accessible to Orange County residents in south and north Orange County.
“Having served in local government for many years, I have witnessed Kim Nguyen demonstrate the leadership skills it takes to be an effective Councilmember,” said Assemblymember Daly. “During the Garden Grove mapping process, Ms. Nguyen was able to build consensus from a divided City Council. This kind of initiative is just the kind of leadership east Garden Grove needs to ensure they finally get their fair share.”
“I am humbled to have the endorsement from someone as accomplished and experienced as Assemblymember Tom Daly,” said Kim. “I will definitely look to Assemblymember Daly as an example of how to get projects and policy done at the local level.”
Assemblymember Daly’s support only continues Kim Nguyen’s momentum as local elected officials and community leaders endorse her campaign. Kim Nguyen continues to gain support as her message for a fresh perspective on the Garden Grove City Council gains traction.
