FULLERTON, CA—Classroom teacher and 65th Assembly District candidate Sharon Quirk-Silva today announced receiving the endorsement of the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) for her campaign. CLCV is one of California’s leading environmental organizations, advocating for stronger environmental policies statewide.

“Sharon Quirk-Silva is a champion for open space and a key ally in cleaning our air and combating climate change,“ said CLCV CEO Sarah Rose. “We respect her for her independence — even when on occasion that places her at odds with our positions on issues. We look forward to working with her on our shared priorities.”

CLCV states its “mission is to protect and enhance the environment and the health of all California communities by electing environmental champions, advancing critical priorities, and holding policymakers accountable.”

Quirk-Silva currently teaches 3rd grade fulltime and has spent 30 years teaching in the Fullerton School District. She is the former Mayor of Fullerton and served in the Assembly from 2012-2014.

The 65th Assembly District includes Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, Stanton and most of West Anaheim.
