Truman Dinner Welcomes Jason Collins as Guest Speaker

Jason Collins

Jason Collins – who made history becoming the first openly gay NBA basketball player – is joining OC Democrats this year at the Truman Awards. With the Supreme Court’s historic decision legalizing same-sex marriage, Jason is the perfect representative to talk about how far we have come as a country.

He will be speaking on behalf of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president. However, Jason will also be telling his story of reaching the NBA and the struggles of being a gay man in professional sports.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to hear from Jason about his life and an update from Secretary Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

  1. Wow. Joe Dunn grants interview to 4-time DUI jailbird Vern Nelson whose favorite movie is FatLatinaSluts #42. Way to go Joe

  2. This was a poorly written article by Vern Nelson. I was not impressed either by the back and forth by Dunn or by Vern’s amateur effort.

This election will be decided via the US Mail and cable television.

  3. I’m guessing Vern doesn’t know the concept of “off the record.” Vern knocks me for mixing up Brea and Buena Park, but what a cream puff to pull that long Dunn profile in only a few hours. You have to wonder if Dunn called him directly or if it was the campaign. If the piece reappears, it’ll be fun to see what was edited out.
