Classroom teacher and 65th Assembly District candidate Sharon Quirk-Silva today announced receiving endorsements from two of Orange County’s most respected legislators, Sen. Lou Correa, (ret.) and Assemblyman Tom Daly.

Correa served in the Assembly from 1998 to 2004 and the California State Senate from 2006-2014. Daly, the former mayor of Anaheim, represents the 69th Assembly District, which is just to the south of AD 65.

“Senator Correa and Assemblyman Daly are widely respected leaders with reputations for being fiercely independent,” said Quirk-Silva. “We have worked together for the people of Orange County and I appreciate their support.”

Quirk-Silva currently teaches 3rd grade and has spent 30 years teaching in the Fullerton School District. She is the former Mayor of Fullerton and served in the Assembly from 2012-2014.

The 65th Assembly District includes Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, Stanton and most of West Anaheim.
