Assemblyman Tom Daly (AD-69) and the former mayor of Anaheim has come out in support of the new proposed agreement with the City and Disney over the company’s expansion plans/investment in exchange for no entertainment tax. You can read his letter here.
Daly urges the council to approve the agreement at tonight’s City Council meeting.
“Over the course of Anaheim’s history, there has been no local entertainment tax. This tax is not a new idea. It’s a tax that has been debated and ultimately rejected multiple times by our community leaders,” Daly wrote. “I believe it is wise and appropriate to extend the existing policy in exchange for continued major investment by Disney in the Anaheim Resort.”
