OC’s loss is Montana’s gain; Rebecca Schoenkopf, perhaps the best columnist ever at OC Weekly and now the editor of Wonkette.com, tied the knot this past Thanksgiving weekend in Montana. She and her new husband, Andrew Clark, will also welcome a new baby in 2015.
We’re delighted for her news, her outside wedding in the snow in Montana, her non-traditional red wedding dress, and the fact that someone as left-wing as Rebecca has decided to make her home in the land of militias and right wing wackos.
She’ll always be OC’s Commie Girl and will always have the best resignation letter ever when she said goodbye to the OC Weekly’s bosses. Her wit and snark continue on over at Wonkette. To get a taste of her work at OC Weekly, it’s not exactly easy to find all of her best work on the Weekly’s website. Instead, go on over to any site that sells books and pick up a copy of her book “Commie Girl in the OC.”
We wish Rebecca and Andrew the happiest of marriages and a healthy child. She deserves it.
Is she wearing real fur?
Faux I’m sure……
If you read the story, it’s a vintage mink, belonged to her grandmother.
Something old, something new, something borrowed and something RED
OMG. Commie Girl got married?! In Montana?!
She may now be Queen Wonkette, but all of us who knew her “back in the day” will always remember her as the fearless Commie Girl who never flinched from speaking truth to power. It’s great to see her be able to take her unique talents to an even higher level and a national platform with Wonkette. And of course, I hope the marriage works out.
Of course it’s going to work out. We should start a pool for her child’s birthday
Oh, I know it will. Just chalk it up as my attempt to score extra funny points.
I’m definitely happy for Rebecca.
we all are…
she’s so ravishing.
hey, she’s a married woman and off the market!
she is but she’s still ravishing.
Oh Dear well, you look young then, may your lives overflow with love, health and wealth and may you have the time and wisdom to enjoy them all.
I’m a little surprised the journalists at OC Weekly haven’t devoted a simple blog post to acknowledge the event…..
