Thursday, State Senator Lou Correa announced his endorsement of Dr. Jose F. Moreno for the Anaheim City Council seat. Sen. Correa is currently serving his second term in the Senate, where he represents the 34th District – encompassing Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Stanton, and Westminster. Prior to his time in the Senate, Mr. Correa also served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors – becoming the first Democrat to be elected to the Board since 1987.

“Dr. Jose Moreno and I have the same passion: making communities better for families and for future generations,” stated Sen. Lou Correa. “As a member and now President of the Anaheim City School Board, Dr. Moreno helped to stay within the budget, improve and modernize schools, increase student achievement, and move the curricula forward despite massive state cutbacks. As a community advocate, he has worked to help low-income families get back on their feet and be self-sufficient. His ability to lead as well as to connect and work with everyone regardless of their political affiliation makes me confident that he will be an exemplary Councilmember. I am proud to endorse him today.”

“I am humbled by the Senator’s gracious words,” Dr. Moreno said. “Like him, I am committed to a balanced approach to governing with a focus on neighborhoods, families, and fairness. I’m proud to live in Anaheim and as a father have always advocated for sensible approaches to support our children and families. I’m running because I want to build a greater, better Anaheim not just today, but for the future. I am proud to stand with Senator Correa today, and honored by his support.”

Interesting. Let me see if I have that video at a Los Amigo meeting were Jose rips Lou for not representing the people because he didn’t support I think it was a single payer health care plan or something like that. As soon as I find it, I’ll post it.
Why is that a bad thing?
