
Orange County unions led by the Orange County Employees Association (OCEA), along with veterans and community leaders, are organizing a Veterans Day special event to pay tribute to Veterans and their families. Click here to download an event flier.
- Opening Ceremonies at 10:30 am MAIN STAGE
- Children’s “Next Generation Honors Heroes”includes: Art Tables for families to design holiday card for Veterans at VA Hospital, Bounce Houses, Obstacle Course & Sport Stations
- Live Music/Entertainment: WWII-era band & dancers (10 – Noon), Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger cover bands (Noon – 4pm)
- Harley Davidson Riders: Veterans and Teamsters Horseman gather 11 am at OC Labor Federation
(309 N Rampart, Ste A, Orange) and then ride in solidarity for Vets to OC Fair & Event Center entering event at Noon - Classic Military Vehicles
- 82nd Airborne tent displaying historical armament & uniforms
- Buffalo Soldiers
- Information booths connecting Veterans to services and jobs.
- On-Site History Project: The California Teachers Association and Newport Mesa Federation of Teachers are hosting a booth where students will take on-site history from veterans, document their stories and collect photos with the ultimate goal of housing these stories in a future educational, interactive museum dedicated to Orange County’s generations of men and women in service
