CSUF and NOW announce Women’s Political Forum October 8

FULLERTON, CA:  The Orange County chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), today, announced they are hosting a women’s political forum on Monday, October 8th at 6:00 PM at Cal State Fullerton.

The event will begin with a discussion around the war on women and how it has affected women here in OC, around the state and throughout the country.

There will also be a discussion around the importance of women voting in November – that women outnumber male voters so can control the outcome of elections – if they show up.

A third part of the event will center around the importance of women running for office.

Three female Fullerton candidates will be spotlighted at this event.  Sharon Quirk-Silva (running for the 65th state assembly), along with Jan Flory and Kitty Jaramillo (running for Fullerton City Council) will speak.

Representatives from the National Women’s Political Caucus, Planned Parenthood and Women in Leadership will also speak at this event.
